  • The PWW hairbrush is a full size brush that is 2.5" wide (brush area) x 9" (total length) and is natural wooden bristle made from the solid wood of the Hornbeam tree, which is also known as Ironwood.
  • Crafted in Germany's Black Forest in a family shop that's been making high quality hairbrushes for over 100 years. The wood pins are firmly set into a rubber cushion base with a small air hole (see detail photo). This air hole is important for allowing the gentle flexibility of the wood pins to move softly around the curves of the scalp - thus providing the ultimate scalp massage. The rounded, smooth wood pins glide through all hair types while distributing natural oils down the hair shaft.
  • Brushing with a wooden brush is a refreshing and invigorating experience. Wood is naturally anti-static and will calm fly away hair. Wood also does not conduct heat, so brush will remain cool if used during blow drying. Can also be used on wet towel dried hair.
  • DARK PEAR WOOD HANDLE: The handle of this beautifully crafted brush is made of dark pear wood, grown locally in Germany. When the brush arrives from Germany to our facility in southern Idaho, we engrave the brushes and package them with care. The engraved image of the butterfly is a symbol of the gentle and transforming powers of nature.
  • Gently brushes through all hair types.

Product Description

A Family Legacy

Long ago in Germany’s Black Forest — home to folklore and fairytales — a brush maker began crafting the world’s finest brushes. Today, his family legacy continues in the same German village it began, under the timeless watch of the Black Forest.

The family’s dedication to quality has never wavered. From their selection, processing, and finishing of the finest quality wood, to completion of the final product, the generations of pride are evident in every brush.

The brush has an engraved image of the butterfly - a symbol of the gentle and transforming powers of nature.

  • The bristles are made of pure wood pins, securely fastened into a soft rubber cushion set in a handle made of oiled pear wood. The rounded wood pins gently massage the scalp and improve circulation, while distributing natural oils throughout the hair.
  • The wood pins come from the Hornbeam tree, which is grown in the forests of Italy and Poland. This particular wood is so hard and strong, it is also known as Ironwood.
  • Wood is naturally anti-static and will calm fly away hair. Wood does not conduct heat, so the brush will remain cool if used during blow drying.

Designed for Gentle Comfort

Wait, is there a bristle missing?

No, it isn’t missing a bristle! This special design feature allows air to enter the cushion, which is why the brush is so gentle and feels so good to brush with. Like a hundred tiny fingers!

Pear Wood Handle

The handle is made from Pear wood, which is grown locally in Germany. It is then carefully milled, shaped, and finished to perfection by expert craftsmen. Pear wood is naturally dark in color and has a very fine grain.
