Diamond Channel quality control makes sure that your jewelry reaches you in perfect condition. |
Color
Most natural diamonds have a yellowish or brown tint. Only the rarest and most valuable are near colorless. Diamonds are graded for color using a scale from D (colorless) to Z (visibly yellow). Diamond Channel offers diamonds within the range of D to Q on the color scale.
Clarity
In nature, diamonds have marks that are not visible to the naked eye. When view through a jewelers loupe they can look like crystals or clouds and they affect the light performance of the polished diamond. That's why a diamond with a higher clarity grade is more valuable.
Cut
The angles and facets of a polished diamond are the main factor that determines its beauty. A well cut diamond allows light rays to enter the stone and reflect off its facets to create a beautiful display of fire, sparkle and brilliance. Diamond Channel diamonds are cut by expert artisans to give you maximum beauty for the best value.
Carat Weight
A diamond's weight is measured in carats, which corresponds roughly to its size. Each carat equals 100 points. For example, a 3/4 carat stone might be referred to as 75 points. Gem quality diamonds are rare in nature, and larger diamonds are exceedingly rare. So the value of a diamond increases sharply with every increase in its weight.
Diamond sizes are expressed in terms of carats, which is actually a weight measurement. By using this chart, you can see the relative size differences between diamonds of different carat weights.
